Senior Advisor – Nursing Recruitment Strategy

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Director of Talent Acquisition and the Chief Nursing Officer, the Senior Advisor in Nursing Recruitment Strategy plays a key role in developing, implementing, and optimizing recruitment strategies for nurses and other nursing professionals. The Senior Advisor acts as a strategic advisor to the organization to ensure alignment between clinical needs, organizational objectives, and staffing initiatives, in a context marked by workforce shortages and evolving care pratices.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Undergraduate degree in marketing/business administration (master’s degree is an asset) or any other combination of education and experience deemed equivalent;
  • Minimum of two (2) years of hands-on experience in staffing and broader human resources;
  • Minimum of one (1) year of client advisory experience;
  • Practical experience in developing and deploying recruitment initiatives in large organizations;
  • Practical experience in developing and deploying marketing strategies is an asset;
  • Ability to design and lead recruitment strategies aligned with organizational goals;
  • Competence in analyzing HR data (performance indicators, market trends, workforce forecasts);
  • Excellent ability to build trust with managers, external partners, and candidates;
  • Creative mindset for developing innovative approaches to talent attraction and retention;
  • In-depth knowledge of applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruitment platforms, and HR analytics tools;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a complex and constantly evolving environment;
  • Rigour in planning, monitoring, and evaluating recruitment initiatives;
  • Understanding of staffing challenges in hospital settings (regulations, labour shortages, critical roles);
  • Ability to integrate DEI principles into recruitment strategies, including practices that promote equitable access to opportunities;
  • Experience collaborating with underrepresented communities and implementing targeted recruitment programs;
  • Ability to work in synergy with ministries, government agencies, and partner organizations to develop coordinated recruitment and workforce strategies;
  • Experience coordinating cross-sectoral projects, including health, education, immigration, and economic development;
  • Ability to represent the organization in interinstitutional committees or forums and advocate for HR priorities constructively and diplomatically;
  • Skill in negotiating and managing sustainable partnerships with public and parapublic stakeholders;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Physical ability to perform assigned duties;
  • Good work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethics principles, the Network’s management philosophy and organizational values;
  • Adherence to Vitalité Health Network’s confidentiality rules.
