Scheduling Module Clerk (1090)

JOB SUMMARY:

The incumbent works within a team providing services to a variety of clients. They add and modify schedules and appointment types in the programming of the Scheduling Module in the Meditech system. They also perform other tasks related to patient bookings and scheduling. They process referrals, other documents and medical forms. They book appointments and advise patients, physicians and departments. They enter orders into the electronic request system and physicians’ examinations into Meditech. They perform any other related tasks as needed to ensure the department runs smoothly. Note that the incumbent may be required to work shifts in another facility depending on the needs of the department.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school or general education diploma (GED), plus an additional administrative support course or program lasting between six months and one year, or the equivalent, which includes medical terminology and keyboarding;
• Two years’ previous experience working with the Meditech Scheduling Module;
• Proficiency with the Microsoft 365 suite;
• Familiarity with other software commonly used within the Network;
• Excellent skills serving a variety of clients;
• Ability to manage workload and handle multiple priorities;
• Discretion and sense of responsibility;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Physical ability to perform assigned work;
• Good work history (performance and attendance);
• Adherence to professional ethics principles, the Network’s management philosophy and organizational values;
• Adherence to Vitalité Health Network’s confidentiality rules.
