JOB SUMMARY :

The incumbent reports to the Regional Manager of Patient Safety and is responsible, among other things, for coordinating the follow-up to medical device alerts and recalls received by the Network, mandatory reporting in accordance with the Vanessa Act, and voluntary reporting to the Canadian Sentinel Network. They also serve as the administrator of the IRapport reporting system, ensuring its smooth operation while responding to user requests and questions.

The incumbent is responsible for training Network staff on the matters under her purview. She manages databases and produces follow-up reports. Concurrently, she participates in the review and development of policies and procedures, while facilitating information sharing and collaboration with partners. She also serves as a point of contact for all questions related to these matters.

They will also work in collaboration with patient safety advisors regarding the identification and reporting of Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) and Adverse Medical Events (AMEs), patient notification in the context of certain alerts or recalls, and other related matters and tasks.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a discipline or field related to information management or administration;
  • Any other combination of education and experience deemed equivalent;
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite, other software applications used within the Network and electronic file management skills;
  • Effective interpersonal and organizational communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and develop professional networks.
  • Analytical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, and planning skills;
  • Skills in analyzing, interpreting, communicating, and presenting data;
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks and meet reporting deadlines;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Physical ability to perform the assigned work;
  • Good work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethical principles, the Network’s management philosophy, and organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality set by Vitalité Health Network.
