Medical Physicist 2 (PI02)

JOB SUMMARY : 

The incumbent plays an essential role in our radiation oncology care program. He works closely with an interdisciplinary team, including radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and radiation therapists to guarantee the quality of treatments and the optimization of the technologies used.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Doctorate or Masters of Science with specialization in Medical or Radiological Physics or from a recognized university;
• Eligible to complete the CAMPEP approved residency program or bridging program;
• Eligible for the membership in the Canadian College of Physicists in Medicine;
• Experience with linear accelerators, CT simulators, and treatment planning systems;
• Knowledge of advanced techniques such as SABR, SBRT, SRS, and HDR brachytherapy;
• Proficiency in quality control;
• Experience with radiotherapy information systems;
• Ability to commission new equipment and train staff;
• Excellent organization, time management, and prioritization;
• Proven communication and problem-solving skills;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Physical ability to perform the assigned work;
• Good work history (performance and attendance);
• Adherence to professional ethical principles, the Network’s management philosophy, and organizational values;
• Compliance with the rules of confidentiality set by Vitalité Health Network.
