JOB SUMMARY:
The program manager is responsible for managing one or more teams providing mental health and addiction services to children and youth. These teams offer services in the areas of mental health, substance use, and social, emotional, or behavioral challenges as part of the Integrated Service Delivery Model (ISD). The incumbent works closely with the clinical coordinators and the TS02 for the “one session at a time” intervention model to ensure the smooth operation of the teams and the delivery of high-quality services through the effective use of human, material, and financial resources.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in health sciences or social sciences in a relevant discipline (nursing, social work, occupational therapy, or psychology);
- Member in good standing of a professional association;
- Eight years of clinical experience, with progressively greater responsibilities, in community mental health, addiction treatment, or with the type of clientele receiving the services;
- Relevant experience in managing community health care programs, including human resources management;
- Good knowledge of the fields of mental health, addiction treatment, and psychiatry;
- Good knowledge of mental health laws and community resources;
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet;
- Knowledge of budget management;
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills;
- Experience and strong leadership skills;
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks;
- Strong interpersonal and organizational communication skills;
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills;
- Ability to act and respond effectively in crisis situations;
- Ability to adapt to change;
- Ability to speak in public and facilitate groups;
- Independence, flexibility, good judgment, and initiative;
