Electronic Medical Records System Management Officer

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Regional Electronic Medical Records (EMR) System Manager, the incumbent is responsible for the management, updating and integrity of the EMR system. They ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of medical information, while providing technical and administrative support to health care professionals in the use of the EMR system.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Two-year post-secondary diploma in secretarial studies, healthcare, information technology, or a related field;
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in EHR (Electronic Health Records) management;
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered;
• Knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite as well as other software used within the Network;
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel considered an asset;
• Knowledge of standards and regulations governing the confidentiality of medical data;
• Ability to train and support EMR system users;
• Organizational skills, diligence and attention to detail;
• Good communication skills and team spirit;
• Excellent skills in serving a variety of clients;
• Leadership;
• Ability to manage workload and handle multiple priorities;
• Discretion and sense of responsibility;
• Ability to work independently and as a team member;
• Physical ability to perform assigned duties;
• Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
• Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values;
