Clinical spiritual care provider

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Manager of Spiritual Services, the worker is responsible for providing spiritual and religious support to any patient using a holistic approach in accordance with professional standards and based on the vision, mission and policies and procedures of Vitalité Health Network.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in theology, pastoral ministry or religious studies;
• Practicums in clinical spiritual care accredited by the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care (CASC);
• Membership in good standing with ACSS or recognized equivalence;
• Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a hospital or similar environment;
• Any other combination of relevant training and experience deemed equivalent;
• Knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite and other software applications used within the Network;
• Strong organizational skills, effective time management, and the ability to set priorities;
• Effective interpersonal communication skills and organizational skills;
• Initiative, leadership and discernment;
• Proven ability to adapt to change; 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Physical ability to perform assigned work;
• Good work history (performance and attendance);
• Adherence to professional ethics principles, the Network’s management philosophy and organizational values;
• Compliance with the rules of confidentiality set by Vitalité Health Network.
