Clinical spiritual care provider

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Manager of Spiritual Services, the worker is responsible for providing spiritual and religious support to any patient using a holistic approach in accordance with professional standards and based on the vision, mission and policies and procedures of Vitalité Health Network.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in theology, pastoral ministry, religious studies or a related discipline;
• Practicums in clinical spiritual care accredited by the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care (CASC) - Any other combination of relevant training and experience deemed equivalent;
• Membership in good standing with ACSS or recognized equivalence;
• At least three (3) years' experience in a hospital or similar environment;
• Effective interpersonal communication skills and organizational skills;
• Demonstrated leadership and discernment;
• Motivation, enthusiasm and flexibility;
• Proficiency using computer tools;
• Ability to show commitment, adhere to changes, and manage changes with a positive attitude;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Physical ability to perform assigned duties;
• Good work history (performance and attendance);
• Adherence to professional ethics principles, the Network’s management philosophy and organizational values;
• Adherence to Vitalité Health Network’s confidentiality rules.
