JOB SUMMARY :
The successful candidate will assist in managing all activities related to general medicine, internal medicine, rehabilitation, and palliative care services. They will participate in the planning and organization of care and services, as well as in the management of human resources, finances, and equipment, staff training, quality assurance, and risk management. They will also support training and research. Depending on operational needs, the successful candidate may be assigned various tasks, such as developing, implementing, and maintaining standardized processes. In addition, they may be called upon to manage staff working in different locations. As part of their duties, the successful candidate will also be required to travel within the Network’s territory to support colleagues in different areas.
REQUIREMENTS :
- Bachelor’s degree in applied sciences or in the health field;
- Graduate certificate in health services management, or a diploma or master’s degree in health services management is considered a distinct advantage;
- At least five years of experience in a healthcare management position;
- Eight to ten years of experience in the health field;
- Experience supervising/managing staff and strong coaching skills;
- Proven knowledge and experience in general medicine and experience in developing and implementing processes;
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered;
- Recognized ability to provide transformational leadership;
- Ability to set priorities and achieve objectives;
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and an understanding of organizational priorities and needs;
- Analytical, writing, and summarization skills;
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software and proficiency in its use;
- Willingness to travel within the Network’s territory;
- Knowledge of spoken and written English and French (required);
- Ability to mobilize and engage others and to act as an agent of change;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills;
- Ability to work independently and as a team member;
- Physical ability to perform assigned duties;
- Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
- Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values;
- Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.
