Description of the Role

The Registered Nurse provides nursing care to residents as required by the standards of the profession and established procedures of the residence including administration of medication, nursing assessments & evaluation, care planning, quality assurance and completion of audits. They will work to maintain and to continuously improve the quality of care delivered to the residents. Assisting always in the ongoing observations and assessments of the resident's health status.

As a member of the Grace Village nursing team, the RN is responsible for upholding the standards of practice for the professional order of Quebec while providing direct and indirect care to residents. The RN will lead and support a team of LPNs and CCGs to ensure the delivery of resident-centred nursing and personal care services.

Requirements
  • Member in good standing of the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec (OIIQ)
  • Two (2) to five (5) years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Bilingual: English/French, verbal and written
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills, organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Skill in planning‚ coordinating and supervising the work of others (an asset)
  • Experience in geriatric‚ Long Term Care nursing (an asset)
  • Functions well as a member of the interdisciplinary team
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Strong computer skills – MS Office Suite and Outlook
