Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a Bathing Program Assistant to join the Adult Daycare team at the Margaret Fulton Centre in North Vancouver, BC. Apply today to join our team!

As a Bathing Program Assistant with VCH you will:

  • Assist clients in the bathing program with all aspects of bathing.
  • Record client’s bathing time; report concerns or unusual occurrences to the Registered Nurse and record unusual occurrences on client’s records.
  • Maintain familiarity with all aspects of the Adult Day Centre and describes Centre activities to clients as directed.
Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Grade 12 or equivalent. Recognized Home Support/Resident Care Attendant Certificate. Current First Aid and CPR certificates.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain rapport with clients.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
  • Ability to deal effectively with seniors.
  • Ability to observe and recognize changes in clients.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of the team.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.
