The Clinical Research Coordinator III (Nurse) will collaborate with the Principal Investigator and research team to assume responsibility for assigned patient management in several research studies in the Division of Neurosurgery in Toronto Western Hospital, University Health Network.
Studies include- pharma-sponsored Phase 1 to 3 Clinical trials as well as Investigator-initiated studies involving Functional Neurosurgical Interventions for conditions such as Dementia, Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders.
Responsibilities include: administering motor and psychological assessments; collecting and shipping samples; monitoring vital signs; administering intravenous treatments following the study protocol; and collecting data for a database and follow-up patients after surgery at regular interval under MDs’ supervision. Furthermore, the role entails providing assistance to the research team in delivering clinical care to patients involved in clinical trials, source documentation, adhering to UHN policy and ICH/GCP guidelines.
