Description
Main Responsibilities:
Road Evaluations
-
Conduct driving evaluations based on the specific requirements of each contract.
-
Produce observation reports and provide recommendations.
Driver Onboarding
-
Plan and deliver onboarding sessions (in-class and on the road).
-
Present company and client policies.
-
Ensure understanding and completion of hiring documents by new employees.
Policy Enforcement
-
Enforce company and client policies.
-
Monitor risky behaviors and intervene as needed.
-
Recommend corrective actions and/or disciplinary measures as established when violations or non-compliance occur.
Ongoing Driver Training and Support
-
Deliver regular training on topics such as:
-
PECVL law
-
Driving hours (CAN-US)
-
Pre-trip inspection
-
Defensive driving
-
Load securement, weights, and dimensions
-
CVSA, hazardous materials (an asset)
-
Equipment and system inspection (brakes, tires, transmissions, etc.)
-
Forklift/Electric pallet jack
-

Maintain a fair annual training schedule across divisions and contracts.
ISAAC System Training
-
Train drivers on how to use the ISAAC system (electronic logbook, RDS, accident/incident reports, etc.).
Post-Incident Follow-Up
-
Conduct re-evaluations or corrective training after incidents or non-compliance.
Accidents and Incidents
-
Respond to incidents within assigned divisions.

Lead investigations and follow up with employees and HR.

Communicate with clients in cases of loss, damage, or non-compliance.
-
Enter data into internal systems.
New Equipment Integration
-
Support drivers in the onboarding of new trucks or trailers.
-
Explain technical features and usage guidelines.
Work environment
Requested skills
- Experience in transportation (driver, dispatcher, trainer, or compliance).
- Valid Class 1 license for at least 5 years, good driving record.
- Knowledge of regulations: PECVL, CVOR, driving hours, TMD.
- Ability to replace a driver (CAN-US).
- Proficiency with computer tools (Excel, Word, ISAAC).
- Bilingualism (French and English): Ability to communicate and work effectively in both languages, essential for a multilingual environment and diverse interactions. FAST card (asset).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to convey information (pedagogy).
- Organizational skills and priority management.
