Your mission: shaping metal
- Perform various welding tasks
- Work with different types of metals
- Brush, grind, and polish parts as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Manufacture and assemble metal structures
- Repair transport trucks for vehicle hauling
- General maintenance
- Perform any other related tasks requested by the immediate supervisor
What you already master - technical skills
- Mastery of processes: SMAW, GMAW (MIG), FCAW
- Skilled in plasma cutting and oxy-fuel cutting
- Ability to read blueprints and fabricate metal structures
- Experience repairing mining equipment and heavy machinery
- Use of magnetic drills and industrial grinders
- Strict adherence to workplace safety standards
What we’re looking for
- Expertise in welding, fabrication, and material preparation
- Experience with vehicle transport equipment (an asset)
- Basic knowledge of road vehicle mechanics (an asset)
- DEP in welding-assembly
- Proficiency in French (spoken and written)
- Precision, attention to detail
- Dynamism, rigor, and team spirit
- Autonomy and sense of responsibility
- Respect for health and safety rules
- Minimum 2 years of experience in welding and fabrication
What you can expect from the position
- Salary: $24.69/hr-$38.36/hr (depending on relevant experience and the collective agreement)
- Day shift: 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday
- On-site position
- Ability to commute: Must be able to commute reliably before starting work (required)
