MISSION

  • Negotiate and conclude the best agreements and purchase orders with our suppliers based mainly in Asia by considering quality, price, delivery time, transport costs and payment terms.

DESCRIPTION

  • Negotiate, conclude and track purchase orders with suppliers according to the recommendations for quantities to purchase provided by the purchasing planner.
  • Maintain ongoing contact with suppliers.
  • Negotiate each order on all possible purchasing parameters: quality, price, delivery times, payment terms, etc.
  • Request quotes from different suppliers, analyze them and make purchases.
  • Know most product specificities to be able to make the best possible decisions.
  • Work in collaboration with the product team.
  • Resolve various disputes with suppliers regarding non-compliant orders (quantity, product, price, packaging, etc.).
  • Plan, organize and manage various overseas trips regarding visits to suppliers, trade fairs, etc.
  • Given the time difference with suppliers, make sure to be available to schedule discussions with them (early morning or late evening).

TO JOIN OUR TEAM YOU NEED

  • Bachelor's degree in administration - specialized in procurement or related field.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in purchasing and importing.
  • Good knowledge of trade with China (culture, region, etc.).
  • Experience in the distribution field (an asset).
  • Excel: advanced level.
  • Knowledge of automobile parts (an asset).
  • Due to the need to communicate in writing and orally with unilingual Mandarin-speaking, English-speaking and/or French-speaking employees:
