Description
We are currently seeking a Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of a financial services retail location in Montreal. The Store Manager will be responsible for operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and team leadership in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
This position is for an experienced manager from the banking/financial sector who is comfortable in the field, capable of motivating a team, and providing high-quality customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and handle inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Manage daily store operations including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and transaction oversight
- Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate store staff
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching
- Create and manage staff schedules to meet operational needs
- Ensure excellent customer service and resolve escalated client concerns
- Educate customers on available financial services (money transfers, bill payments, currency exchange, etc.)
- Monitor transactions and escalate suspicious activity in accordance with internal procedures
- Drive store performance to achieve service and sales objectives
- Support local marketing initiatives to promote in-store services
- Analyze customer trends and recommend service improvements
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of business management experience in banking or finance
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Bilingualism in French and English is required, as there is a great deal of interaction with French-speaking and English-speaking customers
- Comfortable working with POS systems and basic financial tools
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment
