Description
Assignment:
- Full-time 1.0 FTE probationary teaching position
- Course load to include:
- Mechanics 10, 20, and 30
- Construction 10, 20, and 30
- Junior High Ctf options
- Mathematics 10-3
- Other courses possible, defendant on the successful candidate's strengths and qualifications
- Duties to commence August 27, 2025 and will continue for the remainder of the 2025/2026 school year
Qualifications:
- Journeyman Mechanic or Carpenter
- Experience teaching in relevant courses as mentioned above would be considered an asset
- Ability to utilize varied instructional strategies and to differentiate in order to meet a wide range of individual needs
- Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work in an active, team-oriented learning environment and be a positive team member
- Ability to teach in a flexible learning environment
- Passionate about teaching and ensuring belief in every student
- Ability to effectively integrate technology and an understanding of 21st Century Learning Skills
- Assessment literate
- An understanding of High School Redesign Principals, the Collaborative Response Model, and Differentiation would be considered an asset
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Effective classroom management
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth
