Description
Assignment:
- Part time 0.78 teaching position (0.58 Probationary, 0.20 Temporary)
- Instructing as a grade 1/2 teacher
- Duties to commence August 27, 2025 and will continue for the remainder of the 2025/2026 school year
Qualifications and/or Assets:
- Experience teaching in an elementary classroom setting would be considered an asset
- Strong understanding and application of effective literacy and numeracy instructional strategies
- Skilled in differentiating instruction to meet diverse learner needs
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and guide Educational Assistants in supporting individual student programs
- Committed to working in a collaborative, team-focused learning environment
- Proficient in using assessment to inform instruction and support student growth
- Effective classroom management that promotes a safe, inclusive, and caring environment
- Confident in integrating technology to support Alberta’s cross-curricular competencies, such as critical thinking, communication, and collaboration
- Familiarity with PowerTeacher is an asset
- Dedicated to continuous professional learning and growth
