As a member of the Distribution team, you will be playing a key role in coaching life specialists on the OMNI client experience, as well as on products, underwriting guidelines, systems, processes, procedures, and sales techniques. You will also be assessing and proactively responding to staff training needs and working directly with life specialists to implement solutions. Finally, you will be playing an essential role in knowledge transfer as part of independent financial security advisors’ professional development; success will be reflected in the improvement in their skill level and the region’s sales and service performance.
How you will create impact:- Assisting independent financial security advisors with:
- Sales, service, and renewal of life and wealth products, as well as uncommon or complex scenarios.
- Upselling and cross-selling the organization’s other products through referencing.
- Applying appropriate underwriting guidelines within their binding authority.
- Providing accurate, real-time documentation of client information in ECM.
- Making decisions, negotiating, and closing sales to achieve established sales and service objectives.
- Working closely with independent financial security advisors to effectively penetrate the market and obtain the desired share for the segment.
- Providing expertise and support to independent financial security advisors, both for complex risks and for large-account insurance applications.
- Joining independent financial security advisors in meeting current and prospective clients to provide guidance on coverage.
- Supporting agencies in writing and retaining profitable business.
- Identifying training needs and trends, and making recommendations to the Coaching Manager, Distribution for review with the Agency Academy.
- Conducting quality control to assess independent financial security advisors’ knowledge and accuracy.
- Participating on projects and committees as a subject-matter expert where required.
- You demonstrate a thorough understanding of sales fundamentals and the omnichannel service model.
- You have solid experience in life and wealth, and can support advisors in their sales, service, and development activities.
- You are a natural leader with a strong aptitude for coaching and mentoring, and actively contribute to sales growth through practical prospecting and retention strategies.
- Your interpersonal, listening, and communication skills mean you are able to provide constructive feedback that supports knowledge transfer.
- You have a reputation for professionalism, resilience, and ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
- Your enthusiasm, self-confidence, and positivity inspire your colleagues and business partners.
- You are familiar with the regulations and requirements surrounding the sale of life and wealth products, and ensure all activities remain compliant.
- You have a clear understanding of quality, productivity, and customer service objectives, and your thoroughness and prioritization skills allow you to contribute directly to achieving them.
- You have at least six (6) years of progressive experience in the insurance industry, including in building well-defined sales and service processes in life and wealth.
- You have a post-secondary diploma and a life and wealth license (AMF).
- A Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation and at least one designation of Certified Financial Planner or Chartered Financial Consultant is an asset.
- You agree to take the Co-operators “Coaching for Skill-Building” training within six (6) months.
- You have excellent knowledge of sales fundamentals (sales cycle, prospect pools, etc.) and the omnichannel sales and service model.
- You have in-depth knowledge of the regulations around sales and service for life and wealth products.
- You have professional experience working with sales targets and quotas.
- You have a track record of successfully coaching and mentoring individuals and teams for high performance in sales and prospecting.
- Fluency in French and English is required to perform the essential duties of this job, including providing quality service and communicating with primarily French- and English-speaking customers, groups and teams. Key responsibilities requiring knowledge of a language other than French cannot be delegated to other team members.

Requested skills
- Minimum de six (6) ans d’expérience avec des responsabilités croissantes dans l’industrie de l’assurance, notamment en création de processus bien définis de vente et de service en assurance vie et en gestion de patrimoine.
- Diplôme d’études postsecondaires, permis d’exercice en assurance vie et en gestion de patrimoine (AMF).
- Titre d’assureur-vie agrée (A.V.A.) et au moins l’un des titres de planificateur financier agréé ou de conseiller financier agréé est un atout.
- Engagement de suivre le programme « Accompagner pour développer les compétences » de Co-operators dans un délai de six (6) mois.
- Excellente connaissance des principes fondamentaux en matière de vente (cycle de vente, banque de prospects, etc.) et du modèle omnicanal de vente et de service.
- Connaissance approfondie de la réglementation relative au service et à la vente des produits d’assurance vie et de gestion de patrimoine.
- Expérience professionnelle à travailler avec des objectifs et des quotas de vente;
- Compétences manifestes en accompagnement et en encadrement, individuel et en équipe, pour accroître les ventes et favoriser la prospection.
- Il est nécessaire de maîtriser le français et l’anglais pour accomplir les principales tâches de ce poste, y compris pour offrir des services de qualité et pour communiquer avec une clientèle, des groupes et des équipes majoritairement francophones et anglophones. Les tâches essentielles qui nécessitent la connaissance d’une autre langue que le français ne peuvent être réattribuées à d’autres membres de l’équipe.
