Field Service Technician at TEXION
TEXION, a company dedicated to excellence and innovation, is looking to hire a permanent Field Service Technician for one of our prestigious clients. This unique opportunity will allow you to play a key role in technological service and support, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Profile sought:
- Ability to solve problems, with a particular skill in troubleshooting and repairing various products and equipment (mechanical, pneumatic, and electronic);
- Excellent customer service skills, serving as the primary representative between the equipment owner and the manufacturer;
- Advanced skills in the installation, maintenance, and service of technological systems, with a strong foundation in mechanics and techniques;
- Ease in communicating and documenting services rendered and decisions made;
- Commitment to continuous learning and adaptation to new technologies; and
- Autonomy.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Supervised by the national S&B/FTS director, the technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment at clients' sites or in the factory, requiring frequent travel across the province of Quebec, sometimes for more than a day at a time;
- Tasks include responding to service requests, managing inventory via WebSynco, installing equipment at clients' sites, driving heavy vehicles with training provided, and conducting specific quality controls;
- The technician must also train clients on new technologies, test new products, contribute to quality and environmental goals, and maintain the order and cleanliness of the department;
- Direct interaction with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions;
- Diagnosing equipment failures and executing necessary repairs or adjustments;
- Documenting service activities and maintenance interventions; and

Requirements:
- Degree in electromechanics or another related technical field;
- Expertise in mechanics;
- Ability to read and understand mechanical plans via CAD;
- In-depth knowledge of electronics and pneumatics;
- Proficiency in automation;
- Computer skills, especially with Office software;
- Ability to manage time effectively;
- Possession of a valid driver's license;
- Ability to drive medium-sized vehicles and carry heavy loads;
- Knowledge of quality standards; and
- Fluent in English and French (bilingual).
