What You’ll Be Doing:- Specify, write, and update test cases to ensure comprehensive coverage for Ansys Discovery and related applications.
- Create, modify, and maintain test scripts for both manual and automated testing environments.
- Apply your understanding of FEA to execute functional, regression, performance, and application-level testing.
- Develop and manage test plans, participate in defect tracking, and provide testing metrics to guide quality improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, execute interactive tests, and develop automation for new features.
- Assess product functionality and usability to ensure customer needs are met and quality standards are satisfied.
- Participate in design and code reviews, providing actionable feedback to strengthen product quality.
- Elevate the quality and reliability of Ansys engineering software used by leading innovators worldwide.
- Ensure products meet rigorous standards for functionality, performance, and usability.
- Drive continuous improvement in testing methodologies and processes.
- Enable faster and more reliable releases through robust verification and automation.
- Identify and resolve critical software issues before they reach customers.
- Contribute to a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation within the Design Business Unit.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (with FEA focus) or related field; or Master’s degree with no experience required.
- At least 2 years of experience in software testing or verification (if holding a bachelor’s degree).
- Strong programming skills in Python, C#, C++, or Visual Studio.
- Experience with CAE tools and understanding of core engineering principles.
- Ability to work in diverse computing environments, including Windows, VMs, and the cloud.
- Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
