Sunnybrook Research Institute (fully affiliated with the University of Toronto) has an opening for a  full-time, Research Technician in the laboratory of Dr. David Andrews.   Skills and Qualifications: Prior experience as a technician in a biochemistry and/or molecular biology laboratory with diverse scientific interests; knowledge in "biophysics" is preferred Essential experience includes:  Laboratory methods such as spectroscopy, protein expression and purification, enzyme assays, western blotting. Molecular biology skills required include plasmid DNA preparation, PCR, standard cloning methods.  Mammalian cell tissue culture skills which include culturing cells and assaying cells using fluorescence microscopy and image analysis software.
