SLC Management offers a mix of in-office and virtual work where our employees are empowered to do their best. Generally, employees are expected to work three or more days in-office each week with flexibility depending on their business, client and team needs.

What is in it for you:

Reporting to the Director, Portfolio Management on the Allocation Team, this Associate role will be providing operational support across the private asset allocation process. This is a great opportunity to learn about private fixed income asset classes and how liability driven investment portfolios are managed. Responsibilities will include monitoring and reporting on sourcing activity, support for execution of new allocations and regular trade rebalancing activities. A successful candidate is expected to be inquisitive and eager to learn, highly detail oriented and possess an ability to assist on a variety of requests, in an often fast-paced environment.

What you will do:

• Provide operational support for the execution of private asset allocations across eligible SLC clients in accordance with all policies.
• Prepare details such as key rate duration profiles and currency hedging requirements for use in execution of new private asset allocations.
• Produce management information reports at various frequencies, including updates on relative value and private asset sourcing progress.
• Oversee daily trading and quarterly/annual rebalancing for some managed fund segments.
• Provide support to other senior members of the SLC Portfolio Management team as necessary on ad-hoc projects, compliance, business continuity, or other audit requests.

What you will need to succeed:

• A strong interest in Investments and Finance paired with a university degree in Finance/Economics/Business.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in spreadsheet analysis, VBA.
• Ability to quickly learn new technology (Bloomberg, BlackRock Aladdin, Morningstar, etc)

ADDITIONAL SKILLS (OR PREFERRED SKILLS):

• CFA or progress towards the CFA charter.
• 2+ years’ experience in the Investment Industry.
• Strong time management skills; flexible, adaptable, able to react quickly to emerging needs/problems

Salary Range
