MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Electrical and Instrumentation Design
  • Identify project activities, prepare estimates, and schedules.
  • Coordinate, prioritize, and produce electrical, instrumentation, and control design outputs.
  • Design systems including: power enclosures, motor control centers, PLC enclosures, industrial network architectures.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, standards, regulations, and design criteria.
  • Participate in technical issue resolution.
  • Verify mechanical structures' compatibility with electrical requirements.
  • Select electrical, electronic, and instrumentation components.
  • Analyze and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • Provide technical writing support, production, R&D, and commissioning team.
  • Exercise technical governance role over design personnel.
  • Keep knowledge up to date and integrate technological innovations.
Planning and Estimation
  • Evaluate required efforts, prepare budget estimates, and schedules.
  • Identify key deliverables for the discipline.
  • Support the Sales team.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration
  • Work in a team with engineers, technicians, and other departments to ensure project coherence and efficiency.
  • Participate in design and technical review meetings.
  • Support the Customer Success team.

Requested skills

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation and Control, or equivalent
  • Member of the Quebec Order of Engineers (OIQ)
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar position, experience in the manufacturing sector is an asset
  • Fluency in English (this position requires English proficiency due to regular interactions with English-speaking international clients and partners. English enables providing quality service, drafting precise business documents, and collaborating effectively)
  • Good knowledge of: automated systems, machine safety standards, electromechanics, process instrumentation
