As part of our strategic transformation, we are looking to recruit a PMC Director to take charge of all activities related to the strategic positioning of our product offerings. This leadership role is essential to maintain our competitive advantage, optimize our product mix, and ensure strong alignment between innovation, market, and technological development.

Your mandate

Reporting to the Vice President of Strategy, you will lead the PMC department, composed of product managers and technical experts. Together, your mandate will be to align product strategies with the global aluminum market needs, while ensuring the profitability and differentiation of the STAS offering.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Drive the strategic management of the product portfolio: vision, performance, customer alignment.
  • Lead the new product development process.
  • Oversee strategic monitoring activities on aluminum markets, competitors, technological and regulatory trends.
  • Develop a highly performing team of professionals;
  • Actively collaborate with other departments to ensure product strategy coherence across the organization.
  • Manage the product portfolio.
  • Manage the new product development process.
  • Provide the organization with market and product knowledge.
  • Showcase our expertise within the technical ecosystem of our market.
  • Develop and reinforce a CLIENT and BUSINESS culture throughout the organization.
  • Contribute to the development of business strategies, benchmark prices, strategic priorities, and competitiveness analyses.
  • Take a proactive role beyond simple equipment sales monitoring, in collaboration with the sales department. Energize and mobilize sales teams to drive results related to the entire PMC product catalog.
  • Represent STAS in innovation ecosystems and technical networks related to aluminum (research centers, consortia, technical committees).

Requested skills

Education and experience

  • University degree in mechanical engineering, metallurgy, or related field.
  • Master's degree or MBA: a significant asset.
  • Over 15 years of professional experience, including at least 8 years at a management level or leading multidisciplinary technical teams in the aluminum industry.
  • 10 years of experience in the aluminum industry. Knowledge of casting centers: a significant asset.
  • Spoken and written languages: French and English. This position requires fluency in English due to regular interactions with English-speaking international partners. English enables the provision of quality service, precise document drafting, and effective collaboration.
