Your role will be to define a business development strategy with clients across our three business units (2 foundries and 1 machining facility) with the goal of increasing our revenue. You will ensure revenue growth through the acquisition of new clients, the retention of existing partners, and the development of new market opportunities. You will play a key role in the strategic planning of our business development roadmap and oversee the full management of the sales team.
- Develop and implement a business development strategy to achieve sales growth objectives
- Participate in the preparation of annual sales budgets and ensure they are met
- Establish and rigorously monitor performance indicators related to sales, market trends, competitive intelligence, and identify business and improvement opportunities
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key clients and market stakeholders
- Coach and support the sales team throughout the full sales cycle: prospecting, presenting, proposing, negotiating, and closing
- Collaborate closely with the general managers of each business unit
- Stay close to our clients and remain attuned to the market to ensure client feedback is shared quickly and accurately across departments
- Recommend target market pricing and propose sales strategies to general managers
- Work with marketing teams to develop promotional materials for the business units
- Represent the company at events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance visibility of the business units
With the following skills and qualities, you’ll thrive in this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Engineering
- 7 to 10 years of experience in business development, sales management, and team leadership
- Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and performance analytics tools
- Ability to understand various manufacturing processes such as metallurgy, heat treatment, and machining
- Experience in business relations with OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers)
- Strong ability to develop and maintain solid business relationships with clients
- Recognized as an action-oriented manager, autonomous, with initiative, adaptability (agility), business acumen, and political savvy
- Excellent communication, coaching, and inspiring leadership skills
- Personable, humble, diplomatic, and collaborative
- Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written
- Willingness to travel frequently to the United States and abroad
