Description
Are you motivated by being at the heart of the action and managing multiple projects simultaneously? Then the position of maintenance engineer is for you! Your main mission will be to support the maintenance department by leading projects to improve and optimize our equipment. You will be the technical reference for evaluating and optimizing the effectiveness of the solutions implemented, while also implementing initiatives related to the performance of our equipment. This key position at Soucy will allow you to take on technical challenges and improve our processes!
In this position, you will have the opportunity to:
- Analyze equipment failures and work orders and identify root causes
- Plan, organize, and improve preventive, corrective, and improvement maintenance strategies
- Improve equipment reliability, availability, and maintainability
- Monitor and analyze performance indicators (MTBF, MTTR, breakdown rate, availability, etc.)
- Help reduce unplanned downtime and maintenance costs
- Support the maintenance team in diagnosing and resolving complex technical problems
- Standardize work methods and best maintenance practices
- Participate in the installation and commissioning of new equipment
- Define critical parts in inventory and optimize spare parts management
- Train and support technical teams on reliability methods

ProfileWith the following skills and qualities, you will be successful in this role:
- University degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, or industrial) recognized in Quebec (Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs or CPI)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, reliability, or plant engineering within a manufacturing company
- Good command of maintenance management systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
