Our financial services client is seeking a Treasury Project Analyst to support Kyriba implementation and treasury optimization initiatives

Duration: Until April 30 2027 (possibility of extension)

Location: Downtown Toronto

Hours: Monday-Friday: 8-4 or 9-5

**Must be eligible for Reliability Clearance (must have lived in Canada for the last 5 years and not have been outside Canada for 6 months or longer at any one time).

Role Overview

This role supports the implementation of Kyriba, including the payment hub and potentially additional modules. The ideal candidate brings a blend of treasury operations experience, project coordination, business analysis, and change management capabilities. You will coordinate with banks, internal stakeholders, and project teams to ensure smooth execution of business tasks, testing, training, and adoption.

Reporting to the Director, Treasury Initiatives, you will contribute to project delivery, business process analysis, system testing, and change management activities across treasury initiatives.

Job Description

The Corporate Treasury team has responsibility for the North America Treasury functions at Sun Life including cash management, payment execution, governance, controls and risk management practices, and act as trusted advisors to business units on treasury solutions.

Reporting to the Director, Treasury Initiatives, this role provides project management, change management, business process and data analysis support to treasury initiatives. Projects include system implementations and adoption of tools, products / services to improve process efficiency, controls and analytics reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery / Execution

• Manage end-to-end complex projects independently and efficiently, partnering with business and IT.
• Identify and track risks, actions, issues, decisions and dependencies.
• Facilitate sessions to align stakeholders and drive decisions.

Business Process and Data Analysis and System Testing

• Document detailed requirements and business process maps.
• Develop and execute test plan, test matrices and test cases, coordinate execution and report test results.
• Analyze treasury and payment data to identify trends, and anomalies and insights, and provide value-adding recommendations.

Change Management & Training

• Provide treasury subject matter expert support during process and technology implementations.
• Contribute to change management activities including communications, training and readiness planning.
• Develop training materials, user guides, job aids and other reference materials, and deliver training.
• Off business hours work is occasionally required to support global client base and system implementations

Critical Skills / Must-Haves:

• 8+ years of back-office and project experience in financial services industry with strong understanding of operations and treasury practices.
• Proven experience in project management, change management, business process and data analysis capacities in driving treasury / payment solutions and process improvements.
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Strong team player with ability to build effective relationships across teams to drive adoption and outcomes.
• Self-starter, results oriented with positive attitude and continuous learning mindset.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with Kyriba Treasury Management System an asset.
• Certifications in Treasury / Project Management / Business Analysis an asset.
• Experience with Tableau dashboard and MS Excel Power Query an asset.
