SWIFT Capital Markets - Business Analyst

Location Address: 40 Temperance Street, 7th Floor - 4 days per week

Contract Duration: 6 months (Possibility for extension)


Story Behind the Need

Business group: Regulatory Initiatives - RBI handles all compliance-related projects for existing or new regulations. Business data and operation initiatives.

Project: Regulatory SWIFT ISO 20022

SWIFT Payments is upgrading to a new global messaging standard, ISO 20022. The changes are rolling out in 2 phases for November 2025 and November 2026.

Candidate Value Proposition: The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with senior level executives and multiple stakeholders across different LOBS in the bank. They will also be a part of a large team.

Typical Day in Role

• Supporting the team with documentation and requirements

• Reading rules and understanding business requirements

• Building controls around the solution (process, database solution)

• Interact with the following stakeholders: Technology, GWO, GTB, and other business stakeholders

• Conduct/Manage working groups to understand the requirements or monitor the progress

• Will be required to present to the team and stakeholders

• Must have experience using MS Office, specifically PowerPoint, Word and Excel

• Able to produce clear documentation

Must Have Skills:

1. Good knowledge of cross-jurisdictional rules - (ie. SWIFT ISO)

2. 10+ years of recent capital markets BA experience

3. 5+ years of experience with regulations in business and technology

4. 5+ years of knowledge on the capital market, as the regulation will require knowledge of capital market and the settlement system flow of the bank.

Nice-To-Have Skills:

1. Experience working as a leader of a working group/team.

Degrees or certifications:

• Post-secondary education
