Duration: 12 Months (+12 Month Extension)

Location: Toronto (Hybrid, 3x/week onsite)

Overview:

Our client is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to join their S/4HANA transformation program, reporting to the Program Director. This role will oversee the technical delivery aspects across multiple work packages including S/4HANA upgrade, finance integration, cloud migration, and data strategy. The successful candidate will coordinate technical teams, manage integration dependencies, and ensure technical excellence while working closely with SI partners and the Technical Lead peer.


Responsibilities:

Lead technical delivery coordination across all work packages ensuring technical coherence and integration standards

Manage technical dependencies between S/4HANA upgrade, cloud migration, and legacy system integrations

Oversee the Program Change Office (PCO) function to ensure proper change control and release management

Partner with Technical Lead (peer) to establish and maintain technical governance and architecture standards

Coordinate with SI partners on technical deliverables, quality assurance, and knowledge transfer

Drive technical risk identification and mitigation strategies across the program

Establish and monitor technical KPIs and delivery metrics using Clarity, JIRA, and SmartSheet

Facilitate technical decision-making forums and escalate critical technical issues to Program Director

Ensure alignment between waterfall program framework and agile sprint execution within work packages

Lead technical readiness assessments


Must Haves:

10+ years managing complex SAP S/4HANA implementation or transformation programs

Deep understanding of S/4HANA technical architecture, including BTP, SAC, and cloud deployment models

Experience managing brownfield S/4HANA conversions with complex integration landscapes

Strong knowledge of SAP Finance modules (FI/CO)and their technical integration points

Experience with hybrid delivery models combining waterfall and agile methodologies

Financial services industry experience with understanding of regulatory requirements

Proven ability to manage technical teams of 20+ resources across multiple workstreams

Experience with private cloud migrations and infrastructure transformation

Strong vendor management skills with SI partners on large-scale programs


Nice to Haves:

PMP or SAP Activate certification

Experience with Clarity for program reporting
