Our financial services client is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (8-10 years) to support infrastructure for in-house developed software using Azure and Databricks

Join a small, highly skilled infrastructure engineering team supporting critical new in-house software within a major banking environment. This role delivers cloud migration, infrastructure setup, configuration, and reliability operations across Azure platforms and Databricks deployments. The position offers high ownership, complex problem-solving, and long-term contract potential with extension and conversion opportunities.

Contract, Toronto, Hybrid (4 days per week)

Must Haves

• 8-10 years in site reliability engineering or infrastructure engineering within enterprise environments
• Strong Windows administration and PowerShell experience
• Hands-on Databricks configuration and setup experience
• Expertise in Azure Services including IaaS, IaC, and ASP environments
• Proficiency with configuration management tools such as SALT, terraform, Ansible, or CHEF
• Development experience with Bash, Shell, and Python
• Experience using Jenkins, Github, Bitbucket, or Nexus
• Undergraduate Degree or Technical Certificate

Nice to Have

• Relevant certifications such as Azure
• Experience with big data technologies and database configuration
• Knowledge of DevOps concepts including CI/CD and Agile principles

Responsibilities

• Support migration of systems and data into cloud environments
• Deploy, manage, and operate complex applications within Azure infrastructure
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python
• Configure and maintain infrastructure and services monitoring and logging
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and reliability issues independently
• Collaborate with fellow engineers and the project lead to ensure high performance and system reliability
