Description
Our valued client is looking for Sr. PMO Business Analysts to play hands-on roles working with stakeholders in cross-functional business process re-engineering initiatives.
On-site at various locations within the Halifax Regional Municipality from 8:00am to 4:00pm (Atlantic Time), Monday through Friday
Tasks include:
- Cross-functional business process re-engineering initiatives.
- Ensure that all business requirements are identified, documented, agreed and implemented for all assigned project initiatives.
- Identify and recommend new or improved business processes and organizational structures to ensure process objectives and intended benefits are realized
- Identify inefficiencies in existing business processes and recommending improvements through data-driven analysis
- Support transformation initiatives by gathering requirements, mapping workflows, and evaluating process performance
- Conduct current-state process assessments and gap analyses.
- Facilitate workshops and interviews with stakeholders to gather process insights.
- Develop process maps, models, and documentation using BPM tools.
- Analyze performance metrics and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Support change management and training efforts related to process changes.
- Collaborate with IT, operations, and business units to validate proposed solutions
- The Analyst will be required to support enterprise strategic projects that may impact the public and online service delivery to vendors and union stakeholders
Skillset required:
- Prior experience with ERP, HRIS and CMMS in utilities on an enterprise-level is required.
- Prior experience with business continuity management, enterprise IT governance and risk management, coordinating Identity & Access initiatives with security, IT ops, and audit
- Prior experience working on Agile projects is required.
- Proficiency in process modeling tools (e.g., Visio, Bizagi, ARIS).
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Experience facilitating large workshops. Ability to document requirements clearly with user stories, use cases, process descriptions, scenarios and workflows.
- Ability to use advanced Visio functions.
- Ability to understand data in various application databases and the data warehouse and how to join information to generate business value.
- Ability to understand and combine business requests that appear to be similar.
- Ability to use standard organization templates for requirements documentation
- Ability to translate expressed business needs into technical language when necessary, enabling dialog with data architects as well as report dashboard developers and vice versa-translating technical terms to business terms.
- Ability to understand configuration capabilities within implemented vendor applications.
- Ability to train users and stakeholders on new systems or software solutions.
- Ability to analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Advanced skills in Excel for data analysis and creating detailed reports.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during software configuration
Education and Training
- Bachelor’s degree in business, IT/Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline from a recognized university/ institution or equivalent experience is desired.
- SAFe ®, PMI-DASM™, or CSM is considered an asset.
- Prosci CMP® is considered an asset.
- ITILv4 Practitioner, considered an asset
