Our client is Canada's largest retailer. They are looking for a Sr. Frontend Developer (React/Next) to build greenfield e-commerce platforms across Grocery, Pharma, and Apparel business domains.

They are launching 5+ new applications this year, with aggressive timelines and a focus on quick delivery and quality. You'll work closely with domain owners across Discovery, Search, Order Management, Payments, and Fulfillment to build modern, performant, and scalable user experiences.

Duration: Until End of December 2025, to start

Location: Toronto (Bathurst and Lakeshore) - 1 day/week onsite mandatory (Wed/Thu)

40 hours /week

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement user-facing features for new and existing e-commerce platforms across multiple brands
• Work with designers to bring mock-ups and user flows to life using design systems and Figma Tokens
• Translate business and product requirements into scalable, performant UI components
• Implement BFF (Backend-for-Frontend) logic to optimize data flow and reduce frontend complexity
• Build and maintain storefront features such as product discovery, search, promotions, and delivery scheduling
• Participate in architecture and design discussions to shape frontend strategy across multiple apps
• Collaborate with backend, mobile, and product teams to deliver seamless cross-platform experiences

Must Have Skills:

• 7+ years of experience in Frontend Development
• Proficient in React, Next.js, TypeScript
• Experience integrating backend services
• Exposure to Figma, and knowledge of Figma Tokens
• Understanding of cloud environments (GCP preferred, Azure/AWS okay)

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with SDUI (Server-Driven UI)
