Selling Point of the position: Is the biggest pool and expense items in the bank. Lot of visibility and focus is high. Would work across diff stakeholders.

• Bringing transparency to information flows within banking variable compensation reporting.
• Delivering against year-end target
• Helping to stand up renewed process to accrue, allocate and trueup for variable compensation
Best vs Average Candidate: Business partnership - someone who is able to build relationships, someone who is able to demonstrate to investigate, is curious, has a fact-finding type of background, strong with data, someone who can identify complex information and synthesize to make it simple and understandable.
SUMMARY OF DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The main function of a financial analyst is to help investigate and lead the production i.e. end-to-end process mapping of for Wholesale Banking variable compensation with a focus on highlighting key information and data flows. Liaise with our finance and HR partners to gather relevant information to understand and prepare relevant financial commentary. Lead in the process stand up to improve the effectiveness of the team's processes and participate in the remediation efforts in streamlining account attestation processes.
MUST HAVE:
• 8+ years’ financial and/or accounting experience required
• Accounting or industry specific designation (i.e. CA, CMA, CGA, CPA)
• High level proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Understanding of the Bank’s management and financial reporting processes
• Knowledge of the Bank’s financial reporting system (i.e. Hyperion and prior experience in running Hyperion queries is preferred Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking.
• Ability to work independently and manage one’s time
• Strong business partnership and relationship building skills
