Description
Our valued client is looking for a Sr. Data Analyst to facilitate collaboration between technical and business teams, guaranteeing data quality, security, and privacy throughout the data delivery lifecycle.
This is a remote position (Eastern Time Zone)
Tasks include:
- Transforming business requirements into actionable data initiatives
- Champion data governance and solution governance, ensuring all initiatives adhere to established policies and align with the organization's data strategy, while influencing the prioritization of the organization's portfolio backlog to deliver timely business value
- Facilitate collaboration between technical and business teams, guaranteeing data quality, security, and privacy throughout the data delivery lifecycle
- Lead development and maintenance of data modelling activities throughout the data delivery and software development life cycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and evaluate the feasibility/relevance of data products and data solutions from a technological and organizational perspective.
- Review and recommend conceptual, logical, and physical data models to determine compatibility and fit with architectural principles and optimal solution design.
- Understand system data elements and existing data structures, as well as data lineage connecting source to target.
- Understand client requirements and convert the ask into technical user stories.
- Research and document data platform and outputs: source to target mapping, business rules applied to data transformation, data cataloging, data lineage.
- Carry out gap analysis and document data gaps for reporting needs.
- Deconstruct complex technical solutions and explain them to a non-technical audience in simple and clear terms.
- Lead informative well-organized presentations and facilitate sessions to review data requirements and identify gaps; ability to bring others to agreement around a set of ideas to achieve the goal or bring about beneficial resolution
- Deliver clear, complete, and usable documentation, that is right sized for the product, and that the client and/or product owner can validate to support the sign-off process
Must have:
- Reliability security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, or a related field with at least 7 years of experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as a data analyst in the field of any of the following domains: Risk, Finance, or Customer Relationship Management
- 2 years of proven experience with the Moody’s CreditLens, ERP, or SalesForce platform
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience with Databricks
Nice to have:
- 5 years of experience with data solution delivery
- Previously acted as the senior Data Analyst on a complex data or platform modernization initiative
- 2 projects where you gained experience supporting project or portfolio management activities as a Data Analyst in a large transformation program with multiple workstreams and vendors, managing scope, dependencies, or delivery risk
