Description
Our valued client is looking for a Sr. Cybersecurity Project Manager to lead, coordinate and deliver high risk cyber security initiatives within a cybersecurity workstream and program context.
Tasks include:
- Manage the security operations and IAM workstreams and the projects within those workstream spanning technology, operations, compliance and security objectives
- Apply deep experience managing cybersecurity projects in a maturing and evolving organization that requires engagement of multiple stakeholder groups, external managed service providers and delivery models (waterfall, hybrid, agile) with a strong emphasis on attention to detail and delivery execution of all stakeholders
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, scheduled, dependencies and milestones and integration to Program documentation and schedules
- Implement project documentation governance aligned with Program and organization;
- Ensure all delivery activities, artifacts and reporting complies with program level governance requirements while maintaining delivery momentum;
- Track progress against goals, objectives, benefits, approved budgets and timelines; and report status and variances;
- Develop and assess change requests to determine their impacts to scope, budget, schedule, quality and risk;
- Document project risks, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks;
- Provide integrated change management support through project delivery
- Support contract management oversight, keeping track of all important details of an agreement, including key deliverables and milestones, deadlines, and other requirements;
- Ensure all documentation associated with projects meets defined quality standards for the program and as completed within required timelines
Must have:
- Reliability clearance
- Current PMP or equivalent certification, held for at least 10 years
- 5 years' direct project management experience in at least 2 of the following cybersecurity domains:
- IAM
- Security Operations (SOC, SIEM)
- EPP/EDR
- CSM/KMS
- At least one current cybersecurity certification e.g CISSP, CISM etc.
- Experience in technology solutions scoping, requirements gathering, development and operationalization
- Demonstrated experience working with third party technology vendors/MSP’s and holding them accountable for scope, quality, timelines and contractual obligations
Nice to have:
- Experience working within a cybersecurity transition program would be considered an asset
- Cybersecurity project management experience within the private sector would be considered an asset
- Demonstrated experience delivering initiatives using Hybrid and Agile project management methodologies, tailoring the approach to align with stakeholder requirements, project complexity and risk
- Strong understanding of Agile governance and reporting within a hybrid enterprise environment
- Direct experience using MS Project and ADO Azure DevOps or similar Agile tool to track, manage and report on project status
- Exceptional planning and risk management skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and documentation quality
- Can demonstrate high emotional intelligence with a proven ability to navigate ambiguity, manage conflict or competing priorities and drive accountability, either direct or inferred
- Ability to adapt communication style and delivery approach (within Program guardrails) to meet the needs of stakeholders, ensuring high quality outcomes
