Our public sector client is seeking a Sr Digital Transformation Lead to help run and oversee a Digital Transformation Program
Initially a 12 months contract. 2 days/week onsite in Downtown Vancouver. 35 hours/week.
An ideal candidate has proven program management, project management, business analysis, facilitation, communications, architecture, and change management skills.
Reporting to the Project Management Office (PMO) the Digital Transformation Lead will be expected to oversee a program of multiple, concurrent projects.
The ideal candidate would be a seasoned Project Management Professional with either an Executive MBA or equivalent degree with 10+ years progressive experience in project and program management roles.

The Digital Transformation Lead will oversee a portfolio of technology projects commonly including business process changes, enterprise architecture alignment, new digital solutions, retirement of legacy systems, and organizational change management related to this work. Projects are commonly resourced with internal staff, individual external contractors, and contracted specialty firms.
The Digital Transformation Lead will be responsible for the planning, procurement, resourcing, and execution of all work under the digital transformation program across multiple business units. They will provide end-to-end leadership, accountability, and coordination for the Digital Transformation Program. This role requires a balance of strategic oversight and hands-on execution.
The Program Lead will:
· Develop and manage the program’s project roadmap and financial plan, ensuring a balanced and cost-effective delivery of program objectives.
· Lead program team resources for prioritization and alignment of Enterprise Architecture and Procurement.
· Plan and deliver a multi-year procurement plan for all RFx activities to support on-time project start dates.
· Coordinate core program team resources, prioritizing competing program demands for procurement, enterprise architecture, and IT Security.
· Manage the program financial forecast and budget, including review and approval of contractor and vendor timesheets and invoices.
· Facilitate regular one-on-one coaching for project managers on effective delivery and adherence to LABC standards; represent program interest at project Steering Committee meetings.
· Identify and respond to program risks and issues, and own risk and issue response for items escalated by projects.
· Build and manage vendor relationships, oversee all vendor contract changes and amendments, participate in regular vendor performance assessments taking remediation actions when needed.
· Own program governance and reporting, planning and facilitating program and supporting governance groups, presenting and reporting program updates to executive and board audiences. This includes the development and delivery of a program benefits realization framework.
· Lead executive-level stakeholder engagement activities and decision facilitation.
· Oversee program organizational change management and communication and supporting effect project-level change management.
- The successful candidate will work closely with executive sponsors, the PMO, existing project teams, and vendors to ensure continuity and alignment, and sustained momentum for the program.
