Job Description: Position Title: Sr. SQL DBA:

Duration: 6 months

Remote/Hybrid: Hybrid One Day a week

Office Location: 81 Bay 16th floor

Work Schedule (hours per week, start time): 37.5 Hours/week, 9-5 Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and optimize MS SQL databases (on-premises and Azure SQL/MI).

• Lead and execute database migration projects, including on-prem to Azure and Oracle to Azure migrations.

• Champion performance tuning and troubleshooting to ensure optimal database performance.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust database solutions.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members on database support and best practices.

• Work with ServiceNow for incident and change ticket management.

• Participate in Agile methodology and contribute to sprint planning and reviews.

• Deliver excellent customer support and foster strong collaboration within the team.

Must Have Requirement:

• Hands-on experience with MS SQL (on-premises)- 5+ years

• Experience with Azure SQL, and Managed Instances - 3+ years

• Expertise in database migrations (on-prem to Azure, Oracle to Azure) - 3+ years

• Strong knowledge of database architecture, Azure components, and cloud best practices.

• Excellent performance tuning and troubleshooting skills.

Nice to Have:

• Banking experience

• Experience with ServiceNow incident and change ticket processes

• Experience with Agile methodologies
