Solutions Architect with C#/.NET, SQL Server, and infrastructure performance expertise to assess and design a scalable target architecture for a high-volume multi-site pharmacy application

Duration: 6-12 Months

Location: Mississauga (Hybrid, 1-2x/week)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to support the evaluation and potential migration of a high-volume, multi-site enterprise application. This role will focus on assessing system requirements, performance, site/facility environments, and network and hardware configurations, identifying gaps, and defining a scalable target architecture for a large, distributed environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with business and technical stakeholders to understand workflows, system usage, and challenges
• Assess current application, on-prem hardware (servers), system configuration, and network setup
• Identify performance bottlenecks, risks, and scalability limitations
• Conduct fit-gap analysis and recommend improvements or enhancements
• Define target architecture, including optimal configuration and deployment model
• Provide input into migration strategy and high-level implementation approach
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

Must Haves:

• Proven experience as a Solutions Architect in complex enterprise environments
• Strong background in performance analysis and scalable system design
• Professional experience with C#, .NET, and SQL server (or other relational databases)
• Experience with distributed applications and high-volume systems
• Experience reviewing infrastructure, hardware, and network configurations
• Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision and proactively seek out information
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
