S.i. Systems client is looking for a Solution Architect to design and deliver technology solutions that meet business needs while aligning with to the client's architectural principles and technology direction

Permanent position. BC or ON candidates, hybrid model. Must be onsite for events and business demands when needed.

Must Haves:

• 4-8 years of experience in Solution Architecture or related roles
• Experience designing and delivering solutions that integrate applications, data, and cloud technologies
• Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, integration frameworks, and API architecture
• Familiarity with architectural methods and frameworks such as TOGAF
• Solid business and technical acumen in the context of the financial industry

Nice to haves:

• TOGAF or other architecture certification
• Experience working in hybrid or multi-cloud environments
• Credit Union or Financial Industry experience

Responsibilities:

• Designing and documenting end-to-end solutions that meet business requirements and align with architectural principles, security standards, and technology strategies
• Partnering with business stakeholders, delivery teams, and platform owners to understand requirements and propose practical, scalable, and secure solutions
• Conducting solution impact assessments for new initiatives to identify dependencies, risks, and alignment with Vancity’s technology direction
• Ensuring that solutions integrate effectively across applications, data, and technology platforms
• Providing technical leadership and guidance to project and delivery teams throughout the implementation lifecycle
• Collaborating with Enterprise Architects and other Solutions Architects to ensure consistency, reuse, and alignment to the broader roadmap
• Evaluating vendor and third-party solutions for fit, scalability, and alignment to business and technology needs
• Developing solution architecture views, models, and documentation to support communication and decision-making with both technical and business stakeholders
• Reviewing and validating solution designs, documenting architecture decisions and ensuring compliance with standards and best practices
