Description
Our midstream client is looking for a Senior Workday Benefits specialist to support a critical acquisition integration initiative, redesign, and configuration of Canadian benefits processes within the Workday Benefits module, while supporting accurate data migration, system integration, and vendor alignment.
Must-haves:
- 8 + years Hands‑on configuration experience in Workday Benefits (Canada) - not advisory-only or UAT support
- Deep expertise in Canadian benefits programs, including health, dental, pension, life insurance, and statutory benefits
- Direct experience supporting an acquisition, merger, or large‑scale HR integration project
- Workday Benefits module configuration covering:
- Eligibility rules
- Benefit plans and plan years
- Rates and cost sharing
- Life events
- Evidence of Insurability (EOI)
- Proven experience ensuring benefits data integrity, including data validation, reconciliation, and issue remediation
- Experience working with Canadian benefits vendors, including vendor file setup, testing, and ongoing integration support
- Strong cross‑functional delivery experience partnering with:
- Benefits teams
- Payroll teams
- HRIS / IT
- External implementation or consulting partners
- Demonstrated process redesign capability, including:
- Current‑state process assessment
- Future‑state benefits process design
- Alignment to Workday best practices
- Proven testing experience across:
- Unit testing
- Integration testing
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Cutover / go‑live readiness
