Description
Our valued crown corporation client is seeking a Senior Unix Systems Admin for an initial 2-year contract.
As the successful candidate you will provide administration and production support within a Solaris 11 environment.
2-year contract, with a potential of extension. 7.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday. On-Call and Overtime will be required as part of a regular rotational schedule (once every 4 weeks).
Responsibilities:
- Assist with operational support for the Solaris 11 environment
- Contribute to Solaris OS patching and remediation practices and cycles
- Assist with planning and execution Solaris patch management using best practices
- Assist with execution and planning of installation, configuration and tuning of Solaris servers using OVM
- Provide input to and/or developing necessary documentation (build books, operation guides)
- Other activities and deliverables, as required
Must-have Skills:
- 8+ years of experience with the following:
- Solaris 11
- Unix System administration and hardware support
- Build automation (Scripting, Packaging, Ansible, OpsCenter)
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Network Automation, and/or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
- Redhat OpenSCAP
