Senior UI/UX Designer to support a transformative project to modernize media production infrastructure

An initial 1 year contract. Hybrid work model on-site in Toronto, ON (2 days per week, more when required). 7.25 hour work days.

Responsibilities:

1. UX Designer:

• Develop wireframes, prototypes, and gather user requirements.
• Conduct usability assessments and gather feedback.
• Collaborate with the Dev Squad and e250 stakeholders to align design goals.

2. UX Designer as a member of the Dev Squad:

• Provide technical insights and integrate approved UI/UX designs into the application.
• Collaborate with the UI Designer to resolve development constraints and challenges.
• Adhere to Agile framework and participate in routine meetings

3. UX Designer as e250 Project Stakeholder:

• Offer business and user insight to support the UI/UX work.
• Seek approval for key design decisions and validate alignment with project goals.

Must Have Skills:

• 5+ years of experience as a UI/UX Designer in transformation/migration of traditional, purpose-built, and hardware-centric specialized control systems to agile, user-centered browser-based digital platforms, leading to more efficient and accessible user experiences.
• Experience with Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Suite
• Experience creating wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes, and mockups for applications across physical devices, touchscreens, and desktop systems.
• Experience adapting designs for different user roles (e.g., operators, simple users) and skill levels
• A presentation of a digital portfolio

Nice to Have Skills:

• Knowledge of JavaScript
• Knowledge of digital accessibility best practices
