Senior Technical Systems Analyst

We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced and qualified Technical Systems Analyst who is a quick-learner and great team player constantly thinking about quality, maintainability, robustness, and simplicity in all vendor application deployments. To excel in this role, understanding how to build environments using technical requirements from the vendor and architecture teams, working with automated deployment pipelines and creating scripts to deploy vendor applications, collaborating with DCP team members and vendor representatives to debug and resolve issues are all must haves.

What will you do?

· Plan, build, and harden non-prod and prod environments (networking, DNS, certificates, firewall rules, storage, monitoring, and backup/restore), including runbook and topology documentation in close partnership with vendor technical resources.

· Install, configure, and optimize Jetty on Windows Server 2022 (services, SSL/TLS, JVM tuning, Windows services, automated deployment, and patching).

· Partner with DevOpS engineers to create, enhance and maintain automated deployment pipelines and plan & execute releases to RBC environments (Git branching, pipeline automation, artifact versioning, promotion across environments, change/CM controls, and rollback plans).

· Deploy and maintain containerized vendor application components on Openshift Container Platform using vendor-provided Helm charts and automated pipelines.

· Coordinate database provisioning with DBA teams for Oracle/SQL Server (instances, schemas, users, connectivity, migration scripts, performance baselines, backup/restore).

· Lead system/integration/performance testing readiness, cutover planning, and production hyper-care activities (SLOs, incident triage, root cause analysis, infrastructure metrics dashboards, alerts, and knowledge transfer).

· Work in a fast-paced, fun and collaborative, Agile team environment.

· Mentor junior TSAs on application flows and debugging of issues encountered and documentation.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-haves:

· 7+ years of experience in systems analysis, infrastructure deployment, or application support delivering multi-tier enterprise applications across Windows/Linux and container platforms.

· Demonstrated expertise with Jetty or similar Java application servers.

· Systems thinking with excellent troubleshooting across OS, network, container, JVM, and database layers.

· Hands-on experience with containerization technologies and Kubernetes/OpenShift platforms and Helm chart deployment.

· Strong working knowledge of Oracle and/or SQL Server database environments.

· Proven ability to take ownership of and accountability for troubleshooting critical production. issues, determining root causes and engaging proactively in applying long-term solutions.

· Scripting/automation with PowerShell and Bash; familiarity with Git, CI/CD (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins), and secret management.

· Clear, concise technical documentation (runbooks, architecture diagrams, SOPs) and stakeholder communication.

Nice-to-haves:

· Prior experience with application upgrade or migration projects.

· Experience with application upgrades from third-party vendors and vendor engagement (Candascent/NCR or similar retail/transactional platforms).

· Experience supporting hyper-care and production stabilization activities.

· Observability stack hands-on (e.g., Splunk/ELK, Prometheus/Grafana, OpenShift logging), and APM for JVM services.

· Security/compliance familiarity (least privilege, vaulting, TLS mutual auth, vulnerability remediation, Windows/OCP hardening).

· DR/HA design and testing (active/active or active/passive, failover playbooks, data replication/restore).

· Networking fundamentals in enterprise environments (F5/GTM, ingress controllers, DNS, load balancing, firewall policies).
