We are seeking a Technical Project Manager with deep experience in incentive compensation systems within the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance industry. This role involves managing the technical inputs and outputs of complex broker compensation structures, ensuring systems can accurately handle millions of dollars in broker payouts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead projects focused on broker incentive compensation systems (e.g., bonuses, overrides, CPC - Contingent Profit Commission).
- Oversee technical system integrations and data flows involving inputs and outputs from incentive management platforms.
- Collaborate closely with IT and Compensation teams to ensure systems are calibrated based on:
- Gross Written Premiums (GWP)
- Claim ratios
- Broker profitability and tax bracket incentives
- Translate complex compensation models (based on tax slabs, CPC structures, and GWP-based profitability) into actionable system configurations and reporting logic.
- Ensure systems are designed to properly incentivize brokers by maximizing profitability through efficient premium-to-claim ratios.
Must-Have Experience:
- Proven background as a technical PM (not business-focused) in sales/distribution systems, ideally within Desjardins, Intact, Aviva, or similar top-tier P&C insurers.
- Hands-on experience with Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) tools or custom platforms managing broker payouts.
- Familiarity with broker payout logic, GWP metrics, and compensation models used across top Canadian broker networks.
- Understanding of how compensation tiers and income tax brackets are used to drive broker behavior and performance.
