Our client has an immediate opportunity for a Senior Technical Business Analyst with Agile experience to support the delivery of a Business Technology Renewal Program.

12-month assignment Remote based in Alberta

Must Have:

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in a technical environment
• Business Analysis certification (IIBA, CBAP, CCBA, or equivalent)
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Experience working with APIs, system integrations, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications
• Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence
• Experience gathering and documenting business, functional, and technical requirements
• Proven experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and technical documentation

Nice-to-Have:

• PMP certification
• Experience supporting digital transformation or business technology renewal initiatives
• Experience within higher education, government, or public-sector organizations
• Familiarity with cybersecurity, compliance, and risk assessment processes
• Experience working in hybrid Agile/Waterfall environments

Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements, translating business needs into functional and technical specifications.
• Support solution design, system integrations, and implementation activities across enterprise applications and platforms.
• Create and maintain documentation, including user stories, process flows, system diagrams, acceptance criteria, and technical requirements.
• Analyze existing systems and business processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
