Senior Technical Analyst to deploy the Microsoft Intune and Entra ID for our major banking client-39503
Location: Scarborough (Hybrid, 2 days on site)
Contract Duration: 6 months (possibility of extension and conversion)
Schedule Hours: 9am-5pm Monday-Friday; standard 37.5 hrs/week - There may be occasions where the candidate is required to work later shifts that extend beyond 5pm. However, the total duration of work will remain 7.5 hours.
Story Behind the Need
Business group: GTEP - Global Platform Engineering - Client’s Global Technology & Enterprise Platforms (GTEP) is a key technology division of the client, providing critical infrastructure solutions and support to the bank globally and employing approximately 2000 full-time employees and contractors across 15 countries.
Project: Intune Phase 3 & Auto-pilot - The object of the project is to enable hybrid-joined devices and Intune across 2,000 users. Project start is imminent, contractor will be working on it from initial phases - the build and deployment will take 6 months, potential for longer term dependent on requirement fulfilment
Typical Day in Role:
- The team is seeking a Technical Analyst, and the primary purpose of this role is to play the role of an SME in deploying the Microsoft Intune and Entra ID.
- In scope includes planning, design, creating hybrid environment, including review and recommendation of changes to Active Directory Group policies, registry changes, enable hybrid-joined devices, etc.
- The person needs to understand Entra ID, Conditional Access policies, authentication, device management, etc
- Candidate needs to have an understanding of active directory and group policies that are relevant to hybrid joining laptops and virtual machines to Entra ID.
- Collaborate with various teams to come up with optimal patching solutions and work with the global team to implement global framework to standardize tools, process and technology related to authentication and security.
- Understanding of SCCM and devices management is nice to have
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation of Intune policy deployment, troubleshooting of device access, etc.
- User Support and Training: Provide technical support and training to end-users, ensuring they can effectively use Intune and Entra ID.
- Reporting and Analytics: Create and manage reports and dashboards using Power BI to provide insights into business operations and performance.
- Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards, and maintain thorough documentation of system configurations and processes
- Reporting to Director, Global Platform Engineering.
Must Have Skills:
- 10+ years of working experience as a Technical Analyst
- 5+ years of technical working experience with the following: Entra ID (Devices and conditional access policies), SCCM, Active Directory/Group Policies, AD FS, Intune.
- 3-5+ years of technical working experience with troubleshooting Microsoft technologies, including Azure
- 2-3+ years of writing technical documentation, and the development and implementation of test plans and test scripts; as well as document server changes
Nice-To-Have Skills:
- Experience with Windows 11
- Experience with Microsoft 365 services
Education:
- Post-secondary degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related IT field required.
- Technical certification in SCCM, Entra ID, or any other valid Microsoft certification pertaining to the technologies above.
