Our valued public sector client is hiring a Senior System Administrator to install and maintain the existing IT infrastructure using VM cloud technologies.

Background:

The Unclassified Training Environment is a permanent, multitenancy training resource providing local and distributed, On-Demand Self Service IT (Information Technology) environments, ubiquitous network access, resource pooling, rapid elasticity, and measured service utilizing its Private cloud computing technologies. It is based on the VMWare Cloud Foundation 5.x Reference Architecture including vRealize/Aria service suite. The aim is to provide dynamic, scalable and secure Information Technology services: (Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS), Desktop as a Service (DaaS), Anything as a Service (XaaS) and training environments in support of the training mandates and business objectives. The environment is divided into multiple cloud tenants to provide logical separation between the training clients. Each tenant is separated using next generation Software Defined Networking (SDN), individual Distributed Firewalls on each Virtual Machine and Next Generation Firewalls (NGFW) between Network Zones.

Tasks:

• Provide network documentation, training to other team members, and guidance to network support staff.
• Install, monitor, upgrade, maintain, troubleshoot and resolve issues with:
• VMWare 7.x, 8.x infrastructure including vCenter, ESXi and vSAN.
• Microsoft Server (2019/2022) environment.
• MS SharePoint Enterprise.
• Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM);
• Veeam backup systems.
• MS Windows OS environment (Win 10/11)
• Active Directory.
• with Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
• Datacenter hardware.
• VMWare ESX 7.x, 8.x environment.
• Microsoft Server (2019/2022) environment.
• Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO).

• System Administrator - 10+ years
• VMWare vRealize Suite administration - 2+ years
• Windows Server (2019 or 2022) - 2+ years
• VMware Cloud Foundation - 12+ months
• Secret clearance
