Senior Solution Architect to design and support Core Banking Transformation roadmap to modernize, integrate, and optimize enterprise banking platforms

Our Financial Services Client is seeking a Senior Solution Architect (Core Banking) to design and support a Core Banking Transformation roadmap, focused on modernizing legacy platforms, enabling digital banking capabilities, and ensuring seamless integration across the enterprise technology landscape

1-year contract, 100% remote - Candidate location must be ON or BC (PST hours)

Must Have:

• 10+ years of software development experience as a Solution and/or Enterprise Architect
• Proven experience designing and delivering solutions within Core Banking and Financial Services environments
• Strong understanding of core banking platforms (modern and legacy) including payments, deposits, lending, and customer data domains
• Experience with cloud architecture, preferably Azure
• Solid understanding of banking integration patterns, middleware, and event-driven architectures
• Hands-on expertise designing and consuming RESTful APIs with strong understanding of microservices architecture
• Experience modernizing legacy systems and supporting core banking transformation initiatives
• Excellent knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) and architectural governance
• Extensive knowledge of software architecture, application development, and technical delivery processes
• In-depth expertise in one or more technical domains such as cloud computing, data platforms, AI/ML, or integration technologies
• Strong stakeholder communication skills, with ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
