Our valued client is looking for a Snr Software Developer to support a HR-to-Pay Web-based applications technology


The Contractor must provide a resource with expertise in HR-to-Pay application technologies to support the client solution with comprehensive experience in user scenarios, API processes, interface dependencies, including Azure Cloud, Drupal, MySQL, Apache, PhP, PeopleSoft. The Resource must also identify key areas for optimization and assist the team by integrating with the client Service to deliver the tasks and deliverables outlined below:


Responsibilities:

  • Configure and manage observability solutions (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights), including dashboards, alerting, and performance monitoring to ensure system visibility and operational readiness.
  • Support incident management and root cause analysis, implementing corrective actions and preventative measures to improve system reliability and availability.
  • Optimize cloud deployments and runtime performance by tuning scaling configurations, resource utilization, and CI/CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment) pipelines to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
  • Plan and execute testing activities, including unit, validation, regression, integration, and system testing to verify functionality, performance, and stability.
  • Evaluate PeopleSoft queries to diagnose and troubleshoot issues, and design/configure new queries to support MyGCPay performance and reporting requirements.
  • Provide ongoing operational and technical support for the application to ensure performance, reliability, and security, including configuring and managing Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights; conducting performance monitoring and optimization; supporting incident response and root cause analysis; implementing corrective and preventative actions; and reviewing and supporting system security documentation required to achieve and maintain Authority to Operate (ATO) compliance.



Must have Skills:

  • Azure
  • PHP + Drupal
  • MySQL
  • API integration experience
  • Monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, App Insights)


Nice to have Skills:

  • PeopleSoft experience
  • Government of Canada HR systems or enterprise HR systems
  • CI/CD pipeline optimization
  • Performance tuning at scale
